Reference to the cabinet Resolution dated 04/29/2011 designating Chabahar as the future hub for Petrochemical Industry and based on National Petrochemical Company (NPC) initial studies done in 2004-2005 Negin Mokran Development Company (MDC) was established with the general purpose of preparing Chabahar as the future hub of petrochemical industry.
MDC is also responsible to have the general feasibility study of the overall petrochemical Projects done and the Ethane Gas Pipeline project for transferring South Pars ethane gas from Assalouye to Chabahar performed. MDC has pioneered, defined and planned 18 petrochemical plants comprising of 5 Methanol, 4 Methanol-Ammonia, 4 Urea-Ammonia, 2 Olefins, 1 MTP, 1 Crystal Melamine and 1 Aromatics.
To render these tasks, MDC has established three subsidiary companies to initiate, build and run Infrastructures, Utility, Pipe Lines and Storages (Jetties, Off-side facilities). While 100% of utility, off-side and pipe lines basic engineering designs have already been done, the storage facilities are in the process of basic engineering design stage.
